Robyn Julyan

Robyn Julyan has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician throughout the United States, Europe, and Singapore.
As a chamber musician and soloist, Robyn has been a featured performer in festivals and concerts around the country, including the Albuquerque Chamber Soloists, Regis University’s Inspired Performances Faculty Series, Piccolo Spoleto Festival’s Spotlight Series, the Charleston Chamber Players, Denver Eclectic Concerts, and the Breckenridge Music Festival’s Winter Series. Ms. Julyan has held positions with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Charleston Symphony, Sarasota Opera, and Opera Colorado. Each August she performs as a member of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz, CA, devoted to the performance of new music.
Robyn has been a member of the string faculty at Regis University since 2011, as well as maintaining a full private studio. Ms. Julyan’s students have been accepted as music scholarship recipients at Universities across the US and to numerous festivals, including the International Music Academy, Pilsen.
In 2016, Robyn joined the faculty of Orvieto Musica as the director of the Intensive Strings program, and will be in Italy for the 2017 festival as well.
A native of Albuquerque, N.M., Robyn began violin lessons at the age of three with Susan Kempter. She holds a Master’s of Music in Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with department head David Updegraff. She received her Bachelor’s in Music Performance from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD, where she studied with Tokyo Quartet member Martin Beaver and Herbert Greenberg, former Concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony.
